چکیده
Organic fresh products are appreciated and gaining a good reputation regarding human health environmental concerns. Despite the fact that hydroponics commonly used in vegetable production, growers looking for sustainable cultivation systems. Therefore, objective of this study was to investigate effect using an organic-based nutrient solution (NS) derived from fish waste hydroponic system on vegetative growth production lettuce compared conventional inorganic NS. Plant growth, yield, physiological content parameters were determined. The results revealed overall biomass organic NS grown relatively lower than those Stomata density significantly higher one. However, total chlorophyll, carotene, phenolic compounds, flavonoid contents, as well antioxidant activity Leaf at harvest impacted by type fertilizer. Based these findings, system, liquid fertilizer (as alternative source) requires further improvements achieve optimal yield comparable

Effects of supplementary nutrient in an aquaponic system for production of ornamental red tilapia (Oreochromis Sp.) and lettuce (Lactuca sativa var longifolia)
Effects of supplementary nutrient in the production of red tilapia (Oreochromis sp) and Lettuce (Lactuca sativa var longifolia) evaluated in a representative water recirculating aquaculture system. The nutrient solution supplemented was 25% level of (L25) nutrient solution as medium used for aquaponic production of lettuce in the NFT system (based on cooper’s formula). Thus, a completely random...

An experiment was conducted to select the optimum nutrient solution for growing lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) under hydroponic conditions (open system) and Shahrekord climate, as a completely randomized design with five different nutrient solutions and three replicates, in Shahrekord University. The nutrient solutions were: 1) Research Station for Floriculture and Greenhouse Vegetables (the Nethe...
متن کاملEffect of biochar derived from faecal matter on yield and nutrient content of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) in two contrasting soils
Background: Faecal matter biochar offers an interesting value proposition where the pyrolysis process guaranties a 100% pathogen elimination, as well as significant reduction in transport and storage weight and volume. Therefore, to evaluate the effect of (1) biochar produced from dried faecal matter from household based septic tanks, and (2) N fertilizer, as well as their interaction on yield ...
متن کاملPrediction of uptake of copper from solution by lettuce (Lactuca sativa Romance).
We studied effects of free copper ion activity and total copper concentration on copper uptake by lettuce from nutrient solution and a model was developed. In ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and dissolved organic matter treatments, when pH and free copper ion activity were the same, root copper concentration did not change with the total copper concentration. However, at fixed pH and total copp...
متن کاملHydroponic Production of Purslane as a Sodium-removing Vegetable in NaCl-rich Nutrient Solution
To evaluate the potential of producing purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) as a sodium (Na)-removing vegetable hydroponically at moderate NaCl salinity, two cultivars (Green and Golden) were grown in solutions with added 0, 6, 8, and 10 mM NaCl (the actual Na concentrations ’2, 8, 10, and 12 mM, respectively). At harvest, 26 days after transplanting, apparent growth and biomass accumulation were n...
